The Sorentberg Winery is a joint venture between Ivan Giovanett (Castelfeder Winery, Alto Adige) and Tobias Treis (Julius Treis Winery, Germany). Together, they produce five distinctive Rieslings in the Mosel region, renowned for their exceptional aromatic complexity, elegance, and individuality.

The Sorentberg vineyard is located in a side valley of the Mosel, one of Germany’s most prestigious Riesling-growing regions. The vineyard’s steep south-facing slopes and the rare red Wissenbach slate create truly unique growing conditions.

Yet this remarkable site remained abandoned for more than 25 years until Ivan Giovanett from Alto Adige and Tobias Treis from the Mosel shared a vision to bring it back to life. Through dedication, meticulous manual work, and deep respect for nature, they revived this historic vineyard, creating wines that express the distinctive character of this extraordinary terroir.
