The Sorentberg is a steep slope vineyard in the German region of Mosel, which had been forgotten for over 25 years. In 2011 Tobias Treis and his business partner and friend Ivan Giovanett have brought the vineyard to new life. Of the 9.5 hectares 4.5 are currently planted. The Sorentberg has an exceptional soil, called “Wissenbach slate”!
The Sorentberg Winery produces 5 wines. This Riesling Rebell portrays the rebellious nature of the two young winemakers which, despite all obstacles, continued believing in the recultivation of the Sorentberg and had the courage to cross boundaries.
