The Sorentberg is a steep slope vineyard in the German region of Mosel, which had been forgotten for over 25 years. In 2011 Tobias Treis and his business partner and friend Ivan Giovanett have brought the vineyard to new life. Of the 9.5 hectares 4.5 are currently planted. The Sorentberg has an exceptional soil, called “Wissenbach slate”.
The Sorentberg Winery produces 5 wines. This Riesling Rotschiefer Kabinett is grown in the newer vineyard and has been produced in 2020 for the first time because the climatic conditions were right for it. The Riesling Kabinett has a good balance between sugar and acidity.
