The San Salvagio farm is located under the ancient walls of Montepulciano in Tuscany, not far from Siena and its cellar has been entirely built with materials from old Tuscan farmhouses.
The Rosso made from Sangiovese grapes (called Prugnolo Gentile in Montepulciano), Cannaiolo and others smaller varieties, comes from San Salvagio di Sopra or from La Spinella vineyard. Aged for 6 months in slovenian oak barrels, the wine is pleasantly tannic and suitable for a wide range of matching. In order not to damage its organoleptic characteristics, Rosso di Montepulciano DOC San Salvagio has not been treated in any way and this allows the wine to be fully structured.
