The grapes for this Kerner Lahn grow at an altitude of about 900 m above sea level. As a hybrid of Trolliner (Schiava) and Riesling, the grape variety is named after the Swabian poet Justinus Kerner and brings out spiced wines with delicate notes of nutmeg.
In local dialect „Lahn“ means avalanche. Some time ago in the mountains near to the vineyards a mudslide went adrift and that is why the wine from these vineyards is called “Lahn”.
The label shows a rock-hewn fountain next to the vineyard.

Vineyard: selected vineyards in the Bassa Atesina region
Vineyard training system: Guyot
