Lagrein is one of the indigenous grape varieties of South Tyrol. The vine prefers warm, sunny places as on the valley floor. It grows best on alluvial gravel soils. The best areas for Lagrein can be found near Bolzano and Egna, where the grapes for our Lagrein Rieder come from.
