2025 was a short, intense, and fascinating year in the vineyard. After an almost perfect growing season, the harvest began earlier than ever before – in August. Climate change and its extremes were clearly noticeable: the harvest window was exceptionally short.
In just three and a half weeks, we harvested 13 grape varieties from 250 to 800 meters above sea level – a record! While the grapes reached optimal ripeness up to about 600 meters, the higher elevations up to 900 meters presented our winegrowers with special challenges: With just under 10% less than planned, we are slightly below target, but we can still look forward to an above-average vintage.
The white wines show refreshing acidity and moderate alcohol levels.
The red wines are powerful and with an intense color – Pinot Noir and the indigenous varieties Lagrein and Vernatsch (Schiava) are already standing out.
We look forward to the development of this vintage and thank you for your loyalty.
