The Sorentberg is a steep slope vineyard in the German region of Mosel, which had been forgotten for over 25 years. In 2011 Tobias Treis and his business partner and friend Ivan Giovanett have brought the vineyard to new life. Of the 9.5 hectares 4.5 are currently planted. The Sorentberg has an exceptional soil, called “Wissenbach slate”.
The Sorentberg Winery produces 5 wines. This Riesling Rotschiefer Auslese is grown in the newer vineyard and has been produced in 2018 for the first time because the climatic conditions were right for it. The Riesling Auslese is perfect with desserts and sweet dishes.
